I wanted sturdier ordinary dining chairs so my last chairs were from a restaurant supplier. They were okay at first but after a while they felt a bit uneven. As time went on the legs became more unsteady until one gave out, simply from being slid under or away from the table with a person in it. It wasn't until then I realized he legs were not fully welded to the chair but attached with one tack weld on each side of each leg and the same attaching them to the seat. Only the backrest was fully welded. My new King Louis Chairs are nothing like that. They are heavier, fully welded, very comfortable and stable. The style gives my dining area a high end look. I'm going to have to get a new table to really set them off. Each chair came with it's own cover to completely cover it up when the owners of little sticky fingers are visiting. I am very pleased and look forward to having these chairs a very long time.
